See what the Brides are saying about us!We had our wedding on June 5th 2010 and we couldn't have chosen a better venue or had better hosts. The homemade food was phenomenal; it had our guests talking about it for weeks after. We had our closest friends and family staying in the rooms which made for a wonderful relaxing morning after because breakfast was served and we didn't have to clean up!!. Mel and Mark were so accommodating to us, which made the stress levels of planning the wedding plan go down drastically. Great time had by all!! We got married over Thanksgiving weekend 2010 at Moosehead Estates and Retreat. Marc and Mel helped pull it all off – especially considering we planned our wedding over a very short 12 weeks. They opened up their home to us. Mel helped with so many details. She had wonderful ideas of how we could set up for the day. She even added some details of her own that made it that much more intimate and special. We had the entire wedding, from the ceremony to the dance, at Moosehead Estates and Retreat. It was the perfect ambiance, cozy, intimate, just perfect. The food was just superb with a fantastic dinner, midnight lunch and scrumptious brunch the next morning. Some of our elderly relatives have commented that it was like a wedding in the olden days. Mel even organized a little play area off the main living room for our daughter to play, which made it a less stressful day for us. The property, inside and outside, is just so very picturesque, which makes for great wedding pictures and fantastic memories. It truly was our dream wedding and the best Thanksgiving ever. Thanks Marc and Mel for all your help, ideas and kindness. Moosehead was beyond romantic…it was magical! Our wedding day was more than we imagined it to be. So intimate and cozy, pretty and fun. Would do it the same way, again in a flash! The view, the food and the hospitality made our day priceless. Our families are still ranting and raving about our wedding. The relaxed and welcoming atmosphere created by Mel, Marc & Pierrette made everyone feel at home. Nobody wanted to leave! |
